The Revealing Truth in the Story of EliYah and the Prophets of Ba'al

First, let's bow our heads before our Heavenly Father with sincere hearts: "Our Precious Heavenly Father, we do ask for eyes to see and ears to hear that we might see with our eyes and hear with our ears and understand with our hearts that You are doing a mighty work and revealing much truth in these last days that we might bring you the offerings of praise. It is my personal request that you guide the hand on this pen and that nothing would be inscribed that does not reflect the truth of your precious word in accord with Prov. 30:6 and Rev. 22:19. We send up to you the offerings of praise and esteem to you forever. Hallelu-Yah! In your precious Son's set-apart Name, Yahshua. Amein."

In these, the last days, there have been uncovered some of the "keys" to understanding and truth. Many people have yet to realize that the most important "key" is recognizing, knowing and calling upon our Heavenly Father's Name. Notice I said NAME, singular, not plural. He has many titles and attributes but only one Name. In Zekar'Yah 14:9 (Zechariah) the Scriptures reveal "And YHWH shall be Sovereign over all the earth. In that day there shall be one YHWH and His Name One." Institute for Scripture Research Version (hereinafter referred to as ISR).

In First Melakim (1st Kings) Chapter 18 we find the story of EliYah (Elijah) and his "showdown" with the 450 Prophets of Baal. Up unto this point, EliYah had been hunted for far and wide by King Ahab because this man, EliYah, was really getting under the King's skin.

There are some amazing things about to be revealed in this passage. First, let me preface this by saying that Truth and Deception aren't that far apart from each other. I often liken Truth and Deception as parallel lines with Deception running about 4 feet to the left or right of Truth. If Truth is the Center Line of a 2 line highway (the straight and narrow way with destruction close at hand on either side) and you are walking or traveling only 4 feet to the left or 4 feet to the right of Truth, you are very soon to meet head on or be blindsided from behind with certain destruction. Our Messai'Yah (Messiah) said "I am the way, the truth and the life..." and we are to always stay at his feet as little children with big round eyes hanging on every word that proceeds out of His mouth. For therein alone is our Protection. When we attempt to protect ourselves under our own "knowledge" and "wisdom" we will fail miserably and suffer the consequences.

We can only receive the Protection of Our Heavenly Father (check our our study of Tehillim 91 (Psalms) "The 3 Prerequisites of its Promised Protections if we remain under His constant watchful eye and always remain "tender" or "soft" enough [as clay in the Potter's hand) to know that when He speaks, it is ALWAYS Truth. It is when we believe "we are 'mature' enough to be on our own" that we get in trouble and get deceived. Therefore I must be extremely careful what I say here and that it is the revealed Truth for I am accountable for what I say and you are accountable for what you hear. All things must be "proven" and that is each our own responsibility.

As much as we want to believe that Truth and Deception are 180 degrees apart, they are not, and that is part of the deception right there.

Also, it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to understand and ACCEPT THE FACT that our Heavenly Father's Real Name has been REMOVED FROM THE BIBLES and replaced with "The LORD". The only place you can find our Heavenly Father's Name in the modern Bibles (that is all the Bible's from the last 400 years since the "history of the King James") is in the Preface of the Bible. Now how many Preachers have every preached to you from the Preface of your Bibles? Probably has never happened to you right?

Here is an example right out of the Explanation of Format of the New Open Bible, King James Version.

"The covenant name of God in the Old Testament, represented by the Hebrew consonants, YHWH, is translated "LORD" or GOD" (using all capital letters as shown), as it has been throughout the history of the King James Bible." You can find a Link (at the end of this study) to a comprehensive study of other Bible Prefaces and how and why they REMOVED YHWH's NAME. It is very telling.

This revelation, when put in proper perspective will change the way you look and read the Scriptures from now on. If it doesn't, you will remain in darkness straining to see, as if in a fog to follow the "white center line" beneath your feet.

This will also dispel one of our most prevalent misconceptions of this passage and that is that we want to believe that EliYah was the equivalent to one of our most prominent and highly visible Christian evangelists of our day and the Prophets of Baal were some brand of other pagan religion such as Christians might refer to as Eastern Religions or any of the other religions not associated with true Christianity. Nothing could be further from the truth. You will see.

Let's examine this amazing story of EliYah (Elijah) now in First Kings (First Melakim) 18:17-40 using the normal King James Version (from the Seedmaster Computer program) that you are familiar with so you get the overview of that passage prior to seeing revealed truth.

17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, [Art] thou he that troubleth Israel?

18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

19 Now therefore send, [and] gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.

20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD [be] God, follow him: but if Baal, [then] follow him. And the people answered him not a word. {opinions: or, thoughts?}

22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, [even] I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets [are] four hundred and fifty men.

23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay [it] on wood, and put no fire [under]: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay [it] on wood, and put no fire [under]:

24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. {It is...: Heb. The word is good}

25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress [it] first; for ye [are] many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire [under].

26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed [it], and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But [there was] no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. {hear: or, answer} {answered: or, heard} {leaped...: or, leaped up and down at the altar}

27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he [is] a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, [or] peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. {aloud: Heb. with a great voice} {he is talking: or, he meditateth} {is pursuing: Heb. hath a pursuit}

28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. {the blood...: Heb. poured out blood upon them}

29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the [time] of the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that [there was] neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded. {offering: Heb. ascending} {that regarded: Heb. attention}

30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD [that was] broken down.

31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:

32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid [him] on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour [it] on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

34 And he said, Do [it] the second time. And they did [it] the second time. And he said, Do [it] the third time. And they did [it] the third time.

35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. {ran: Heb. went}

36 And it came to pass at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou [art] God in Israel, and [that] I [am] thy servant, and [that] I have done all these things at thy word.

37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou [art] the LORD God, and [that] thou hast turned their heart back again.

38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that [was] in the trench.

39 And when all the people saw [it], they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he [is] the God; the LORD, he [is] the God.

40 And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

That is an awesome story that many of us have been told or read from at a very early age. But reading it the way the translators have served it to you on a silver platter IS very misleading. There is something much deeper in here that has not been revealed to you and how a large portion of this scripture passage is a mirror image to this very day we live in for you will soon see that the "Prophets of Ba'al" (including Ba'al worship) are still in existence all around you and I each and every day.

Brace yourself, this could make you very angry or uncomfortable at least when it is revealed to you just how close to home this really comes.

Now we need to digress to a short passage in Shemoth (Exodus) 3:13-15 where Moses is asking our Heavenly Father, the Elohim (God) of Israel what he is to say the children of Israel (ISR Version):

13. ...and they say to (ask of) me, "What is His Name?" what shall I say to them?"

14. And Elohim said to Mosheh (Moses), "I am that which I am." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Yisra'el, "I am has sent me to you."
15. And Elohim said further to Mosheh, "Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra'el, "YHWH Elohim ... This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations."

Here we see that Yahweh (YHWH) indirectly answered Mosheh's question of "whom shall I say has sent me" with "I am that which I am" and "I am has sent me to you".

What our Heavenly Father told Mosheh was the MEANING OF HIS NAME first before He actually told him His Name! Yes, many people have never heard the Name, Yahweh (YHWH), and did/do not know the MEANING OF HIS NAME. Yahweh means "I am - I exist - I will be". "I will be what I will be". "I will be a burning bush", "I will be a pillar of fire by night", "I will be a cloud by day", "I will be a mighty rushing wind", etc. etc.

Yahweh was demonstrating that the MEANING of NAMES is extremely important and that He wanted His people to know what His Name meant before He actually revealed His One Name!

And in Shemoth 6:2 His One Name is reiterated again. "And Elohim spoke to Mosheh and said to him, "I am YHWH."

6:3 says "...And by my Name, YHWH, was I not known to them?" (See the question mark there?)

6:6 says "Say, therefore, to the children of Yisra'el, I am YHWH"

More on this later.

Also remember, these Scriptures were ORIGINALLY WRITTEN in HEBREW not Greek or Latin or English. When they spoke in Hebrew and "called upon the name of the LORD", they called and said the Hebrew word "Ba'al" (Hebrew meaning "Lord"). Where the English version have replaced the Hebrew Tetragrammaton YHWH (Yahweh's Name) with "LORD" or "GOD", here is the subtlety of deception and the clouding of the Truth. This REPLACEMENT did not just happen a few times; try 6823 times!!! Your King James Version, your NIV, or any of the other "modern non-restored name versions" should have YHWH in place of "the LORD" and you should at least know that where you read "Ba'al" in any version it means "the LORD" to the Hebrew people in the Hebrew language. You are about to see why EliYah was so HATED by King Ahab and the prophets of Ba'al and the people who followed the prophets of Ba'al. (See also YirmeYahu (Jeremiah) 23:26-27 and Hoshea
2:16-17).

Now, let's RE-EXAMINE the amazing story of EliYah now in First Melakim (Kings) 18:17-40:

17. And it came to be, when Ahab saw Eliyahu, that Ahab said to him, "Is that you, 0 disturber of Yisra'el?"
18. And he answered, "I have not disturbed Yisra'el, but you and your father's house, in that you have forsaken the commands of YHWH, and you have followed the ways of the Lord."
19. "And now, send and gather all Yisra'el to me on Mount Karmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets [preachers] of the Lord, and the four hundred prophets of Asherah [Easter priests], who eat at Izabel's (Jezebel's) table."
20. Ahab then sent for all the children of Yisra'el, and gathered the prophets on Mount Karmel.
21. And EliYahu came to all the people and said, "How long would you keep hopping between two opinions? If YHWH is Elohim, follow Him; and if the Lord, follow him." But the people answered him not a word.
22.And Eliyahu said to the people, "I alone am left a prophet of YHWH, but the prophets [preachers] of the Lord are four hundred and fifty men."
23. "Now let them give us two bulls. And let them choose one bull for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but set no fire. And I, I prepare the other bull, and shall lay it on the wood, but set no fire."
24."And you shall call on the name of your mighty one [the Lord], and I, I call on the Name of YHWH. And the Elohim who answers by fire, His is Elohim." So all the people answered and said, "The word is good." [they were in total agreement]
25. And Eliyahu said to the prophets [preachers] of the Lord, "Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many. And call on the name of your mighty one, but set no fire."
26. So they took the bull which was given them, and prepared it, and called upon the name of the Lord from morning even until noon, saying, "O Lord, answer us!" But there was no voice and no one answered.
And they leaped about the altar which they had made.
27. And it came to be at noon, that Eliyahu taunted them and said, "Cry aloud, for he is a mighty one; he is meditating, or he is busy, or he is on a journey, or it could be that he is asleep and has to be awakened!"
28. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves, according to their ruling, with knives and spears, until the blood gushed out on them.
29. And it came to be when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the bringing of the evening offering. But there was no voice and no one answered, and no one paying attention.
30. Then Eliyahu said to all the people, "Come closer to me." And all the people came closer to him. And he repaired the
altar of YHWH that was broken down.
31. And Eliyahu took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Ya'aqob (Jacob), to whom the word of YHWH had come, saying, "Yisra'el is your name."
32. And with the stones he built an altar in the Name of YHWH. And he made a trench around the
altar large enough to hold two seahs [about 5 gallons] of seed.
33. And he arranged the wood, and cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, "Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering and on the wood."
34. Then he said, "Do it a second time," and they did it a second time. And he said, "do it a third time," and they did it a third time.
35. And the water flowed around the altar, and he filled the trench with water, too.
36. And it came to be, at the time of the bringing of the evening offering, that Eliyahu the prophet came near and said, "YHWH Elohim of Abraham, Yitshaq (Isaac), and Yisra'el, let it be known today: You are the Elohim in Israel, and I Your servant, have done all these matters by Your word.
37. "Answer me, O YHWH, answer me, and let this people know that You are YHWH Elohim, and You shall turn their hearts back to You again."

38. Then the fire of YHWH fell and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.

39. And all the people saw, and fell on their faces, and said, "YHWH, He is the Elohim! YHWH, He is the Elohim!"

40. And Eliyahu said to them, "Seize the prophets [preachers] of the Lord! Do not let them escape!" So they seized them, and Eliyahu brought them down to the wadi Qishon and slaughtered them there.

Oh, my friends, do you see? The prophets of Ba'al were none other than the preachers of our Christian churches/denominations who have fallen away from COMMANDS of YHWH, the Torah. They teach and preach a gospel of lawlessness and that the wages of sin is grace.

Notice in Verse 29 "that they prophesied until the time of the bringing of the evening offering". In other words, the prophets of the LORD BELIEVED in OFFERINGS but rejected THE APPOINTED TIME to submit the offering.

Notice in Verse 36. "And it came to be, at the time of the bringing of the evening offering,". Eliyah presented his offering AT THE APPOINTED TIME!!!

Do you know YHWH's APPOINTED TIMES? Do you know and understand His Feast Days that were to be kept forever? Or do you SUBSTITUTE YHWH's Set-Apart SABBATH with BA'AL's DAY - The LORD's DAY - Sun-day? Do you disobey the Father intentionally or are you trapped in traditions that you love and will not change?
Do you recognize that the Messiah, Yahshua, was NOT BORN on DEC. 25th or do you celebrate CHRISTMAS instead of the Feast of Tabernacles when "the Word was made flesh and dwelt [tabernacled] among us"?

Do you keep the "holiday" day of Astarte/Ishtar-Easter with the Priests of Asherah/Astarte [Easter] and call it a Feast Day unto YHWH? Remember, Aaron built a golden calf and says, "Tomorrow we will have a feast day unto YHWH!" It is so easy to get caught up in what WE THINK IS ACCEPTABLE instead of JUST OBEYING HIS WORD (the TORAH) when He has told us to "JUST DO IT!", "Just Obey Me".

If we don't KNOW His Appointed Times, how will we know or understand when we are in His Will? We won't, it is that plain and simple and that is part of what EliYah was trying to get across to the people on Mount Karmel. Get back to YHWH's word, His Ways, His Truth through a one-on-One relationship with Him or know that destruction is a certainty like what happened to the Preachers of the LORD in EliYah's day.

What a difference KNOWING AND CALLING UPON THE NAME OF YAHWEH can mean in your life.

What a difference OBEDIENCE TO YAHWEH'S TORAH can mean in your life.

When you KNOW THAT YHWH's NAME WAS REPLACED WITH THE NAME BA'AL, (BA'AL = "the LORD") you can now discern the true meaning and an accurate understanding of Scripture and the prophecy contained therein.

Only through the Ruach haQodesh (the Spirit that is set apart - Holy Spirit) can you begin to understand what our Heavenly Father intended for us to find upon much searching and prayer.

Think about this if you will. If you were separated from your parents from birth and raised by a different family and later you became of age to be on your own. When you were old enough to be on your own, you might find yourself drawn to finding your parents. The primary piece of the puzzle to finding your long lost family WOULD BE TO KNOW YOUR FATHER'S NAME and you might also need to find out if your father's name had been changed or he was being called by something other than his true name. Likewise, we were all "conceived in sin" and separated from our Heavenly Father. The ONLY WAY we can find our way back to our Heavenly Father is by KNOWING and CALLING upon the Only Name under Heaven whereby we might be rescued (saved)! The prophets of EliYah's day didn't think His Name was important so they just called him "the LORD" Ba'al. What about you?

Eliyah was there to tell, according to YHWH's timing, all the Northern Tribes of Yisra'el that their "flavor" of worshiping the one true creator was Not YAHWEH's WAY but rather it was the way of "the LORD" (Baal worship), just like today's Christian churches that are filled with idolatry, adultery, inherited lies and traditions that all unprofitable before Yahweh! It is the same for us today. We have inherited lies but now truth has been revealed and we can no longer claim ignorance as an excuse. YHWH has brought you to this point in your life to read this teaching according to His perfect plan for you. "I know the plans I have for you, declares YHWH". YermeYahu 29:11 (Jeremiah).

Eliyah was sent there by YHWH, as ONE MAN ALONE, to tell the RELIGIOUS children of Yisra'el that denying or not calling upon or praying to Yahweh, the NAME OF THE ONE TRUE ELOHIM was not going to "cut it" anymore. Calling the Heavenly Father by titles or attributes or "Ba'al" or"Adonai", "HaShem" or "the LORD" as we do in English today is just plain unacceptable once we come out of our ignorance that we have been born into.

We all know that while we were yet in ignorance, we had our prayers answered by our Heavenly Father when we called upon Him as "the LORD". Right? It is extremely hard to justify changing what we perceive is not broken. Therefore, we have a natural tendency to "stick with the proven" rather that explore what we would believe is NEW and unproven.

Friends, don't wait for the next showdown between EliYah and the Preachers of the Lord to grasp this amazing truth. The showdown is coming. EliYah is coming as one of the two witnesses "in the last days". We are living in those "last days" my friend and I am here to tell you the Spirit of EliYah is ALIVE and here to proclaim that YAHWEH IS HIS NAME and YAHWEH, HE IS THE ELOHIM!

Yes, EliYah will be hated by none other than those who, today, call themselves Christians for it is they who are the modern day Ba'al worshippers although in much ignorance. It is they to whom he is being sent to tell them these things:

1) That those who call themselves "Christians" and say Yahweh's laws are done away with, or that they are not important, or that "He knows our hearts" and He loves us and will accept us "just as we are", are now commanded to REPENT and TURN BACK TO THE FATHER'S WAYS!

2) That Ba'al worship is nothing more that "worshipping ‘GOD' our own way", "doing our own thing", "celebrating Christmas, Easter, and other Pagan holidays instead of Yahweh's Feast Days that are shadow pictures/rehearsals of prophetic fulfillment.

When pondering about the TWO WITNESSES who will raise havoc with the RELIGIOUS POWERS THAT BE on the earth in the last days raises
Goosebumps on my arms. Here you have Two Witnesses, EliYah and Mosheh; EliYah proclaiming that Yahweh, He is the Elohim and that Yahweh is His Name, and then you have Mosheh proclaiming that the TORAH was NEVER DONE AWAY WITH; IT WAS NEVER "NAILED TO THE CROSS".

There you have the ministries of the Two Witnesses. But just as surely as the Two Witnesses will come, the Spirit of these Two Witnesses is being awakened in the truth seeking children of Yisra'el today. Do you see the truth here? Do you see what Religion will get you? Do you see how Christianity is the practice of RELIGION today just like the children or Yisra'el PRACTICED the worship of "the LORD" [Ba'al] in THEIR OWN WAY in their days? Our ways are not His ways, says Yahweh.

REFLECTION #1: The Prophets of the LORD were totally confident that morning that the LORD would hear their prayers and accept their offerings regardless of their handling of their spiritual affairs THEIR OWN WAY instead of YHWH's. In fact, they were just doing the "christian thing" you might say and by their resistance to the truth EliYah was preaching of the importance of calling upon the Name of YHWH, they, in fact, where exercising self-righteous rebellion against His Name and His Established Ways and His Appointed Times.
RESULT: Continuing to do it "their own way" (RELIGION) resulted in their death within hours after the acceptance of EliYah's challenge.

REFLECTION #2: King Ahab was totally confident and delighted to watch this "show" from the bleachers as great sport in his day. He was totally confident that regardless what happened down below, that he had EliYah in his site and trapped and was going to get rid of him right after the show.
RESULT: King Ahab stunned by the events of the day, did not get his way with EliYah, but instead could only go back and report to Izabel.

REFLECTION #3: The People who followed the prophets of the LORD, saw the error of the teachings of their preachers and of them being exposed in front of their very eyes and being destroyed.
RESULT: They got the message when TRUTH hit them right in front of their eyes and they responded appropriately and "ALL THE PEOPLE SAW AND FELL ON THEIR FACES, AND SAID, YHWH, HE IS THE ELOHIM! YHWH, HE IS THE ELOHIM!".

My friends, do you now see with new eyes? Can you say YHWH, HE IS THE ELOHIM!
YHWH will make known His SET APART NAME to all the world. Check out these passages in Mal'aki (Malachi):
Mal'aki 1:11 "For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, MY NAME is great among nations. And in every place incense is presented to MY NAME, and a clean offering. For MY NAME is great among nations," said YHWH of hosts.
1:14b "For I am a great Sovereign," said YHWH of hosts, "and MY NAME is feared among nations."
2:1-6 "And now, O priests, this command is for you. If you do not hear, and if you do not take it to heart, to give esteem to MY NAME," said YHWH of hosts, "I shall send a curse upon you, and I shall curse your blessings. And indeed, I have cursed them because you do not take it to heart." See, I shall rebuke your seed, and scatter dung before your faces, the dung of your festivals [Easter, Christmas, etc]. And you shall be taken away with it. And you shall know that I have sent this command to you, as being My covenant with Levi," said YHWH of hosts. My covenant with him was life and peace, and I gave them to him, to fear. And he feared me, and stood in awe of MY NAME. The Torah of Truth was in his mouth and unrighteousness was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and straightness, and turned many away from crookedness."
3:16-18 "Then shall those who fear YHWH speak to one another, and YHWH listen and hear, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who fear YHWH, and those who think upon His Name." "And they shall be Mine," said YHWH of hosts, "on the day that I prepare a treasured possession. And I shall spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him." "Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wrong, between one who serves Elohim and one who does not serve Him."
4:2 "But to you who fear MY NAME the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.

4:4 "Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Yisra'el - law and right rulings."

[The Spirit of the Witness of Mosheh will bring back THE REMEMBRANCE OF THE TORAH!]

4:5 "See, I am sending you EliYah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of YHWH."

[The Spirit of the Witness of EliYah will bring back the REMEMBRANCE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF THE NAME OF YHWH!]

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah [Law - The Spirit of the Witness of Mosheh] or the Prophets [The Spirit of the Witness of EliYah]. I did not come to destroy but to complete." Mattithyahu 5:17.

The Torah [Mosheh] and the Prophets [EliYah] is going to be FILLED with meaning very soon before our very eyes in these last days.

YermeYahu 16:21 says"Therefore see, I am causing them to know,this time I cause themto know My hand and My might.
And they shall know that

My Name is YHWH!"

That is prophecy my friend that is yet to be fullfilled in this present day. Can you see? It is happening right now all over this earth among His people. Our prayer is that He is calling you and filling you with the Spirit of EliYah. EliYah means "YHWH is my ELOHIM" and "Servant of Yah".
Praise be to Yah! Hallelu-Yah! We sing the song, "Praise ye the Lord - Hallelu-Yah" but most people singing that don't realize they are singing "Praise ye Ba'al" in English and "Hallelu-Yah" meaning "Praise be to Yah!" in Hebrew.

Part 2 of The Revealing Truth of EliYah

In our first study of The Revealing Truth in the Story of EliYah and the Modern Prophets of Baal, we discovered that Yahweh has a TIME that is appointed for man to be obedient to Him. The KEY to the failure of the Prophets of Baal was that they attempted to get Baal [the Lord] to hear their pleas on their own timing, thus it was established in Scripture that they called upon their mighty one “UNTIL the time for bringing the evening offering” (1 Melakim (1 Kings) 18:29) recognizing that they had fallen short of the mark or the timing for bringing/making an offering/sacrifice. They prayed to the Lord [Heb. Baal = Lord (see any good dictionary)] all day long, begging, pleading, cutting/afflicting themselves all to no avail. Vs. 29 says: “…But there was no voice, and no one answered, and no one paying attention.” EliYah was not ignorant concerning these things but the false prophets/shepherds were willingly ignorant and thus seeking to establish their own righteousness and saying in their hearts “But Baal [the Lord] knows our hearts and He hears our prayers too…”

Romans 10: 1 “Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to Elohim of Yisrael is, that they might be delivered. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of Elohim, but not according to knowledge [not recognizing the appropriate time for things]. 3 For they being ignorant of Elohim's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, [He loves us – he would not let us down even if we don’t do things on his timing, right? But, but… He knows our hearts!] have not submitted [failed to Just Obey Yahweh (JOY)] themselves unto the righteousness of Elohim. [Yahweh’s truth, Yahweh’s Way wherein you shall even live.]” [Ed: Bolding, brackets and parenthetical emphasis and comments are mine.]

EliYah held the TRUE KEY that opens the door to getting answers from Yahweh. In 1 Melakim 18:36 it says: “And it came to be AT the time of bringing the evening offering…”. EliYah made his offering/sacrifice/pleas before Yahweh ACCORDING TO KNOWLEDGE of Yahweh’s Ways and His TIME for bringing a sacrifice so as to have his petition heard and granted; a knowledge only gained through a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Torah/the WORD of Yahweh.

It certainly cannot be said that the prophets of Baal and Asherah were not “religious” for they were as deeply religious as all pastors, shepherds, prophets and priests of today in all the modern day religions. Just ask them. They do have a zeal for Elohim but reject the knowledge of His true Name and His Son’s true Name saying it really doesn’t matter what we call Him, he hears us and knows our hearts [or the true 7^th day Sabbath]. Is not this the same argument and the same difference between EliYah [whose name means ”Yahweh is my Elohim”] and the prophets of Baal [The
Lord] who believed that true Yahweh worship and Baal worship could be syncritised and were really one and the same?

Why was EliYah so adamant about his question he posed “to the people” in 1 Melakim 18:21 “…How long will you keep hoping [flip flopping] between two opinions? [Yes, Yahweh is His Name but He answers to the Lord (Baal), too, heard both then and today.] If Yahweh is Elohim, follow Him; and if Baal [the Lord], follow him. But the people answered him not a word.”

Why did the people not answer EliYah a single word? Because they were caught in the “spell” of their
prophets/preachers/priests and were afraid to step out of the crowd lest they be mocked at, or worse, persecuted or killed. Fear kept them silent. They truly feared man more than they feared Yahweh. Today the children of Yisra’el are caught in the “G-d’s spell” - christian/greecian gospel].

We know the outcome of the original EliYah showdown. But… here is where our new study and the revealing of the truth from the Ruach haKodesh starts.

MatithYahu. 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

As we know from Scripture, we are not to use “vain repetitions” yet the Scriptures would appear to be full of repetitious phrases. What many don’t know is that these phrases or verses used twice have a reason and a purpose and they most certainly are not vain. Often times, these “double” phrases or verses indicate a primary and secondary fulfillment in prophecy, meaning a particular incident may very well happen a second time with some modifications but the general theme is accurate. To some, this double speak is called twice-speak and is a very fascinating bit of info to file in memory for potential double fulfillments of prophecy.

In light of this “twice-speak” let’s examine the scriptures to see if there are any examples and what the rest of the EliYah story might reveal.

EXAMPLE 1

(see twice spoken phrases followed by a number and letter in brackets for first time said/fulfilled and
the second time said/to be fulfilled.

1 Melakim 18:37 says “Answer me[1a], O Yahweh, Answer me [1b] and let this people know that you are Yahweh Elohim, and You shall turn their hearts back to You again.” [Examples are marked by 1a & 1b]

Was not EliYah praying to Yahweh to “Answer me”? Certainly! Did he need to repeat the “answer me” a
second time to get Yahweh’s attention? Certainly not for “for your Father knoweth what things you have need of, before you ask him.” So mark this phrase in your mind for now and let’s look for another phrase.

EXAMPLE 2

1 Melakim 18:39 says” And all the people saw, and fell on their faces, and said, “Yahweh, He is the Elohim[2a], Yahweh, He is the Elohim[2b]”. [Examples are marked by 2a & 2b]

I believe scriptures indicate that the disciples of Yahshua also recognized this as having a potential double fulfillment wherein they said.

Lucas (Luke) 9:54 And when his disciples Ya’acov [James] and Yochanan [John] saw [this], they said, Master, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias [EliYah] did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.” [Ed: mark the word “spirit” in your memory also. For I, myself, have also wondered if EliYah in the last days would have a showdown with the modern prophets/preachers/priests of Baal [the Lord]]

It is obvious here that the disciples were rebuked for provocatively asking if they should call down fire from heaven as EliYah had done. It certainly was not meant for the disciples to perform as EliYah did in Messiah’s day but the future is not yet clearly discernable.

Let’s continue.

EXAMPLES 3 & 4

1 Melakim 19:8 “And he rose up and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of Elohim. 9 And there he went into a cave and spent the night there. And see,
the word of Yahweh came to him, and said to him, “What are you doing here, Eliyahu?” [3a] 10 And he said, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh Elohim Tsevaoath, for the children of Yisra’el have forsaken Your covenant. They have thrown down Your alters, and they have slain Your prophets with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it.”[4a] 11 And He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh.” And see, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tearing the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before Yahweh – Yahweh was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake – Yahweh was not in the earthquake, 12 and after the earthquake a fire – Yahweh was not in the fire, and after the fire a still small voice. 13 And it can to be when Eliyahu heard it, that he wrapped his face in his robe and went out and stood at the cave opening. And see, a voice came to him and said “What are you doing here, EliYahu?” [3b] 14 And he said, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh Elohim Tsevaoath, for the children of Yisra’el have forsaken Your covenant. They have thrown down Your alters, and they have slain Your prophets with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it.”[4b]

Here again we have an identical question asked twice “What are you doing here, EliYahu?” and his reply is exactly repeated in verse14 as it was the first time in verse 10.

Here is what ties this together.

Malachi 4:1 “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up said Yahweh Tsevaoth [of hosts], “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. 2”But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. 3 “And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said Yahweh Tsevaoth. 4 Remember the TORAH of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Yisra’el – laws and right-rulings. 5 See, I am sending you EliYah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yahweh. 6 “And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with utter destruction.”

It is true that Yochanan the Immerser was one who did already come in the spirit of EliYah (Lucas 1:16 And many of the children of Yisra’el shall he turn to Yahweh their Elohim. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias [EliYah], to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for Yahweh.”)

But Malachi 4:6 above also speaks of the days prior to the Great Day of Yahweh still to come.

So back to a deeper understanding of the twice speak passages in 1 Melakim chapters 18 & 19.

Notice how 1 Melakim 18:37 is tied together with Malachi 4:6. See the phrase “turn their hearts” and “turn the hearts”? The EliYah message is at least three parts.

To TURN THE HEARTS of all Yahweh’s children back to worshipping Him alone. To have no other mighty ones
before My face. (1^st Commandment)
To turn back Yahweh’s people from their idolatrous, lawless and disobedient ways. To walk in the light of
Yahweh’s truth/Torah. (2^nd Commandment)
To cause Yahweh’s people to recognize that their Mighty One [G-d, Baal, Lord whatever they’ve called Him
in the past] has a Name and His Name is YAHWEH and by the Name of Yahweh He will be known. That YAHWEH IS MY ELOHIM!, EliYah’s Elohim and your Elohim and
by the Name of Yahweh He shall be known again throughout the whole earth. YermeYahu (Jer.) 16:21 (3^rd Commandment not to falsify Yahweh’s
Name).

He shall turn the hearts of the FATHERS to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. Here the term “fathers” represents our ancestors (ancient Yisrael) and we are the children [Messianic Yisra’el]. By the showdown on Mt. Carmel, EliYah DID turn the hearts of the father back to Yahweh in which they cried out “Yahweh, He is the Elohim” which has in turn established a written record of the fathers hearts turning so as to reflect favorably upon their offspring (Messianic Yisra’el). Was not therefore the hearts of the fathers, in fact, turned toward [meaning beneficial] to the children? Absolutely. Did the fathers again fall into apostasy? Certainly, only a couple generations later but the record reveals the fathers did turn back to Yahweh and was certainly beneficial for the CHILDREN [Messianic Yisra’el] yet to come. (This is first part fulfillment of 1a and 2a above.)

In the end days, (the day and time we currently live in) is not the hearts of the CHILDREN [Messianic
Yisra’el] being turned back to the fathers [our forefathers – ancient Yisra’el] of old of whom the Scriptures are recorded of? In the last few years, this generation (also known as the CHILDREN) has been having their eyes opened to see and ears to hear the truth as the restoration of all things is in process. The CHILDREN are turning back to Yahweh; calling upon His TRUE NAME. They are calling upon His Son’s TRUE Name, Yahshua. They are boldly proclaiming that YAHWEH IS MY ELOHIM [the meaning of EliYah’s name]. They are turning back to Torah study and obedience to the their Father, Yahweh. They desire from their hearts to follow Messiah Yahshua and DO THE FATHER’S WILL and KEEP OUR FATHER’S COMMANDMENTS. They are asking to be Re-IMMERSED in baptism but this time into the Name of Yahshua unto the Father, Yahweh, without human prodding to do so. Just this very day, I received an email request from total strangers (but brother and sister in Messiah Yahshua) somewhere in the United States asking me if our ministry could help effect them getting baptized into the Name of Yahweh. I said, “Sure, I will send my best friend (who re-immersed me and my household a couple summers ago, this time into the Name of Yahshua unto the Father, Yahweh) who is a truckdriving evangelist who travels this entire country and helps people who want to be rebaptized. Praise You, Yahweh, for You, and You alone, know how we all fit into this gigantic puzzle masterpiece as different parts of the body of Messiah. Baruch haShem YAHWEH! Is not EliYah sent to us now in our day and time? Is not his spirit alive and moving and shaking this earth as we speak? EliYah is crying out – we are crying out to to Yahweh on behalf of our lost and wayward families who are drowning in paganism/idolatry and hung up on traditions of men in both Christianity and Judaism. EliYah this day is crying out to Yahweh. “ANSWER ME”. Bring our families back to Your ways (the good ways) Father, turn their hearts back to You, make known Your name in all the earth that You are Yahweh and You are Elohim in Yisra’el. Partial fulfillment of 1b is happening today. Some of us are the EliYah witnesses and some are the CHILDREN who are again falling on their faces crying back “YAHWEH HE IS THE ELOHIM” and turning from their lawless Torahless ways. Again, here is partial fulfillment of 2b.

Let’s revisit:

1 Melakim 19:9-10 “And there he went into a cave and spent the night there. And see, the word of Yahweh came to him, and said to him, “What are you doing here, Eliyahu?” [3a] 10 And he said, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh Elohim Tsevaoath, for the children of Yisra’el have
forsaken Your covenant. They have thrown down Your alters, and they have slain Your prophets with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it.”[4a]

Notice in this passage it says here “THE WORD [01697 dabar {daw-baw'}] OF YAHWEH CAME TO HIM”.

Now in verse13 “And it can to be when Eliyahu heard it [the still small voice], that he wrapped his face in his robe and went out and stood at the cave opening. And see, a voice came to him and said “What are you doing here, EliYahu?” [3b] 14 And he said, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh Elohim Tsevaoath, for the children of Yisra’el have forsaken Your covenant. They have thrown down Your alters, and they have slain Your prophets
with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it.”[4b]

And in this passage it says here “A VOICE [06963 qowl {kole} or qol {kole}] CAME TO HIM”.

Here are two totally different Hebrew words and when THE WORD came to EliYah he was INSIDE the cave. When he went to the CAVE OPENING, he heard THE VOICE.

What is “The Word”? It is the written WORD/TORAH of YAHWEH. The TORAH that EliYah knew all His life to which he honored and obeyed. This is a reference to the actual day and time in which he lived and in which the “showdown” actually took place as recorded. [3a and 4a were fulfilled the first time during EliYah’s lifetime].

So we are left to unravel the mystery of the second twice speak phrase.

THE VOICE CAME TO HIM

Hebrews 3:14 “For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end, 15 while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”[In other words, turn back to Yahweh when you hear the still small voice of the Ruach haKodesh] 16 For whom, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim [Egypt], led by Mosheh? 17 And with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey?”

Hebrews 4:7“….Today if you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.”

The “still small voice” is the VOICE of the Ruach haKodesh [the set apart Spirit of Yahweh Elohim/ the Comforter] that speaks to us, not of Himself, but whatever He hears from the Father, Yahweh, He shall speak, as in a whisper as identified in 1 Melakim
19:12.

Yochanan 15:26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of me:”

Yochanan 16:13 “But when He comes, the Spirit of truth, He shall guide you into all the truth: for He shall not speak from Himself; but whatever He hears He shall speak: and He shall announce to you what shall come.

Remember when I said to make a note of the word “spirit” in Lucas (Luke) 9:54 And when his disciples Ya’acov
and Yochanan saw [this], they said, Master, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias [EliYah] did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.”

Now you see that the “spirit” Yahshua was telling them they were of was the Ruach haKodesh, the still small
voice, not the WORD/physically fulfillment in like manner as EliYah on Mt. Carmel. Over and over these passages fit like fingers in a glove to show that there is multiple fulfillments of the EliYah message/story in 1 Melakim 18 & 19.

The still small VOICE is distiguishable from the MIGHTY and GREAT voice heard from Yahweh during the
tumult of the book of Revelation. That VOICE is a great voice, a strong voice, a loud voice and a voice as the sound of many waters – not a still small voice, to say the least.

There is one more indicating factor that identifies the passage of 1 Melakim 19:13-14 as having a present or
future fulfillment is the references in the two passages regarding the “CAVE”. Notice in Vs. 9 EliYah “went into a cave and spent the night there” and that is where he heard the WORD. It wasn’t until EliYah “went out and stood at the cave opening” that he heard the VOICE. This is reference to the time “in the cave” meaning the old covenant prior to Yahshua coming forth from the tomb. The days prior to Yahshua’s death and resurection were under the sacrificial laws. When EliYah was “in the cave” he heard the WORD/TORAH. When he came out of the cave and stood by the cave entrance/opening, it is symbolic of Yahshua coming out of the tomb and the resurection until life in Yahweh through Messiah Yahshua. The
time when the Comforter/Ruach haKodesh (the set apart Spirit) would come and “guide you (speak to you) into all truth.

The still small voice of the Ruach haKodesh is asking today “Why are you here, EliYahu?” [fulfilling 3b] There are many today with the spirit of EliYah who are saying to Yahweh, “I have been very jealous for Yahweh Elohim Tsevaoath, for the children of Yisra’el have forsaken Your covenant. There is coming a day soon, that the remainder of the verse will be cried out as well when we will see more venomous attacks coming against those EliYah messengers in these last days. I say EliYah messengers (plural) for Scriptures do record that at least 7000 have been reserved and have not bowed a knee to Baal.

Romans 11:2 “Elohim hath not cast away His people which He foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of EliYahu? How he maketh intercession to Elohim against Yisra’el, saying, 3 Yahweh, they have killed Your prophets, and thrown down Your altars; and I alone am left, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of Elohim unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to [the image of] Baal. [the Lord] 5 Even so then at this present time also THERE IS A REMNANT according to the election of favor [grace].”

Soon there will be EliYah messengers who will give their lives for the sake of Yahweh and the EliYah
message. Then they will say also, “They have thrown down Your alters, and they have slain Your prophets with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it. [fulfilling 4b]”

Will there be a MT. CARMEL TYPE SHOWDOWN again? Now that sacrifices for sins has been completed by Messiah, there must be some other form of sacrifice (i.e. sacrifice or praises) where there may be confrontation by the EliYahs of today with the modern
prophets/preachers/priests of the Lord/Baal. I believe that EliYah will be jealous for Yahweh and will contend for the souls of Yisra’el/our families that are entrapped/held captive by the false prophets/preachers/priests of today. It could very well be that the showdown comes in the form of MUSIC – Songs of PRAISE TO YAHWEH – Sacred Name Music. For I know of several individuals/groups who are writing songs using/restoring Yahweh’s Name and Yahshua’s Name in their songs. It is very possible that the SHOWDOWN will be between the perveyors of “non-sacred name recordings” vs. “sacred name recordings” for the sacrifice of praise will be not only to Yahweh but to reach the hearts of those held captive to Babylon in the whore church. There will be much outcry against using the Sacred Name calling those who do as cultists and beware lest they lead you back into the bondage of the law. Watch, my friends, and see if this isn’t so, for some it is already happening.

I believe that Yahweh will use MUSIC - Sacred Name Music – to teach and reach the whole world with His Name per YermeYahu 16:21 right after our christian brothers and Yahudim brothers recognized YermeYahu 16:19 where they have inherited lies. And the modern
prophets/preachers/priests of the Lord/Baal will come out against organizations such as YahwehMusic.com and RestorationRecords.com with both fists a swingin’. When the church goers and the synagogue goers start demanding sacred name music or when attendees no longer are attending but seeking truth from the Ruach haKodesh and the EliYah messengers, every effort will be made by the false shepherds to malign and destroy those “disturbers of Yisra’el”. And the EliYah messengers of today will respond with “We have not disturbed Yisra’el, but you and your father’s house, in that you have fosaken the commands of Yahweh, and you have followed the LORD/BAALs.”

Tune up your instruments. Make a joyful noise to Yahweh. Sharpen your pencils. Write song to, for and about
Yahweh. Magnify His Set Apart Name! Prepare you an alter (music stand?) to offer up SACRIFICES OF PRAISE to our Elohim, YAHWEH TSEVAOTH. When the timing is right, Yahweh will chose the place and He will set the stage for the bringing of the sacrifice of praise SHOWDOWN. Will the modern prophets of Baal/Lord have any greater chance of success offering up their sacrifices of praise to G-d, the L-rd, J-sus, Chr-st? What do you think? I think NOT! The Christian music industry is certainly a Goliath. Are you ready to be a Dawid and take down the giant with the Rock of our Deliverance, Yah-shua?

YermeYahu 33:11 “The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise YAHWEH of hosts: for YAHWEH [is] good; for His mercy [endureth] for ever: [and] of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of YAHWEH. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith YAHWEH.”

Hebrews 13:15 “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to Elohim continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to His Name. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices Elohim is well pleased.”

Truly I say, WE are living in the DAYS OF ELIYAH [ELIJAH] but the song needs to be worded correctly.

These are the days of Eliyahu,
declaring the Word of Yahweh.
And these are the days of Your

in the desert, crying, “Prepare ye the way of Yahweh”.

Behold he comes, Riding on the

and out of Zion’s hill

Yehezq’el, the dry bones becoming as flesh.

servant, Dawid, restoring the temple of praise.

YES, these are the days of EliYah/EliYahu, declaring the WORD OF YAHWEH and none other. Leave Baal [the Lord and the rest of the false names behind] and declare YAHWEH to be HIS NAME. HalleluYAHWEH!

One last point in Malachi 4:6 at the end of the verse is a sobering thought. “….lest I smite the earth
with utter destruction.” See the EliYah messengers of today MUST, and I mean MUST fulfill turning the hearts of the children to the fathers because the still small voice of the Ruach haKodesh has fulfilled the second questioning [3b] “Why have you come here, Eliyahu?”. If EliYah today does not heed the call and “turn the hearts of the children back to the fathers”, (to repentance from lawlessness; to repentance from falsifying Yahweh’s Name, to repentance from idolatry/traditions of men/ways of the heathen) then Yahweh has no choice but to “smite the earth with utter destruction.” There is a COMMAND in there for ELIYAH of today to perform. Either he [EliYah] shall turn the hearts of the children to the fathers, or [lest] I [Yahweh] smite the earth with utter destruction.

Praise Almighty Yahweh, EliYah is obedient and performing in this very day and age. We see it happening before our very eyes. EliYah messengers are jealous for Yahweh Elohim Tsevaoath for the CHILDREN of Messianic Yisra’el who have forsaken Yahweh’s covenants both the TaNaK (Old Testament) and the Brit Chadasha (New Testament – Renewed Covenant).
