Yahweh's Name In Our Breath

The following is excerpted from the book

Christianity UNMASQUED

A, E, I, O, U, are the vowels in our language. If you are old enough, you were also taught sometimes Y and sometimes W. They don=t teach this any longer. (Unfortunately, there are many things they don=t teach any longer!) The W or double U is literally made up of two U=s, while the Y is the predecessor to the letter I.

The vowels are typically interchangeable and can be used for various phonetic inflection. An interesting aspect about vowels is that without them, it is very difficult to speak or use the language.

Try reading this sentence again without vowels.

As you can see, vowels are an integral part of our ability to communicate, either verbally, or in written form. If we eliminate the vowels we cannot speak or communicate properly. In like manner, if we eliminate Yahweh or disregard Him from our lives we cannot do anything properly.

Vowel sounds are made by using the breath He gave us.

Try it! Pronounce them one at a time A, E, I, O, U. They are sounded with the Apneuma@ or spirit, the Abreath of life.@

In contrast, consonants are made with the flesh, with muscle tissue, with your lips pressed, your tongue against your pallet, and other muscle contractions. Try it! You=ll feel and hear the difference. Pronounce T, C, B, D, S, etc.

Now, if you simply use nothing but the Abreath of life@ vowels, and arrange them in the following manner E I A 0 U A and verbalize them, you will naturally pronounce YAHWEH as easily as you breathe. Isn=t it interesting how simple and profound the truth of Scripture is?

Whenever any living thing which has breath inhales and exhales, it gives praise to the One Who gave it breath! YAH-WEH, YAH-WEH, pronounce it as you inhale and exhale. David was wise to write that statement in Psalms. He understood the source of his strength. He was wiser than his enemies.

Return to WHAT IS HIS NAME?

Find out what Thomas Nelson Publishers have to say about the Sacred Name, what Name is historically accurate, proven by comparisions of transliterations into other ancient languages and their reasoning for rejecting it. You ought to have some righteous indignation over this, my friends.
